All the Buzz | Magazine Spread

This project involved multiple stages and focuses on the methodology behind good design. First, students were assigned two words; in this case, the words were "technology" and "metamorphosis." Students then had to Photoshop a hybrid image which contained aspects of both of the words assigned. Insects like flies undergo metamorphosis and cd's are a form of technology. As such, I created a fly with cd's for eyes. The final step of the project was to design a magazine spread, complete with a relevant article, which related to the created image. This particular article details the role of insects within the music industry and informs readers of an "insectoid music festival" which takes place once a year. This project was selected to be part of the University of Memphis' Graphic Design Showcase.
