Senior Problem | Corporate Identity
My graphic design senior thesis project. Students were to create a fictional company of their choosing and then develop a cohesive brand identity which relates to the company itself. The name of my company was "backspace." An organization which creates custom-made, ergonomic office chairs. The name "backspace" plays on the idea of the backspace keyboard button. It relates to computers and technology; however, it also can mean a space for your back. The name seemed even more appropriate when you consider that the ergonomic chairs the company produces are meant to "undo" the damage ordinary chairs have caused. The identity consists of a logo with tagline, business cards, hang tag, three magazine advertisements, informational brochure, and a large format poster. The triangle and other angular elements presented throughout the brand are symbolic of the science and math which go into designing the perfect chair created specifically for each individual.
